The Swedish Lotteriinspektionen has issued 28 new licenses to several operators in the gambling industry, since Sweden will become iGaming-friendly until 2019. This affects both casinos and players, but as long as an online casino is willing to get a license in Sweden, it will be allowed to bring its operations.

Several new iGaming operators 2019

Sweden will officially become iGaming-friendly and the Lotteriinspektionen has therefore made 28 new game licenses. Thanks to this, several well known and popular brands in the iGaming industry will finally be able to come to Sweden for the new year. These are some of the online casino brands we’re talking about:

Cherry Casino
Gaming Innovation Group (GiG)
888 Casino
Paf Casino
Betfair Casino

Gaming Innovation Group

”Even though there’s a lot of work behind the license applications, we are convinced that the Swedish regulations will provide better conditions for gaming operators, our customers and for us as a company and because of that also for our shareholders,” says Gunnar Lind, President and CEO of Cherry Casino.

GiG has secured two licenses for the regulated market – one to cover in-house brands such as Rizk Casino, Guts Casino, Highroller Casino, Thrills Casino, Kaboo Casino and Betspin Casino, the other covers white label customers. Robin Reed, GiG chief executive explained: “GiG includes a safe and reliable i-Gaming environment and will continue to invest in technology and people to be at the forefront of responsible gaming.”

Even more licenses

888 Sweden, Betfair International and Paf Consulting have received licenses for online and betting in Sweden. AG Communications, Betspawn AB, Blue Star Planet, BS Nordic, Cerberus Technology, MT Secure Trade, Multibrand Gaming, United Lottery Solutions and Zecure Gaming have also been given licenses for online and betting. Currently, Lotteriinspektionen has awarded 57 licenses, and there may be even more.
